Modulaire Group completes takeover of Locabox, FAE, and Tecnifor

Modulaire Group, one of the market leaders across Asia Pacific and Europe specializing in modular services and infrastructure, has reportedly completed the acquisition of Locabox S.r.l., Tecnifor S.p.A, and F.A.E. S.p.A. from shareholders.

For the uninitiated, Modulaire Group is a leading business services company across Europe and is reputed to create smart spaces for people to work, learn, and live. The firm has designed its services in a way that’ll help customers find the right space solution for themselves, whatever their requirements.

The company operates in close to 25 countries the world over with around 3,400 remote accommodation rooms and 271,000 modular space & portable storage units. Incidentally, Modulaire operates as BUKO Bouw & Winkels, BUKO Bouwsystemen, and BUKO Huisvesting in The Netherlands, Ausco in Australia, Algeco in Europe and Scandinavia, Portacom in New Zealand, Advanté, ProComm, Elliott, and Carter in the United Kingdom, Algeco Chengdong in China, and Tecnifor and Locabox in Italy.

In Italy, Tecnifor and Locabox are jointly known to be one of the most reliable providers of modular building leasing solutions. Headquartered in San Gemini, near Rome, the company operates more than 12,000 modular units for its clients within the construction and public administration domain alone. FAE is also in-charge of operating a facility in San Gemini that is known to manufacture space solutions for the rental fleet market.

As per reliable sources, Tecnifor, Locabox and FAE boast of a workforce of around 140 employees and garners annual revenue of EUR 35 million.

A targeted acquisition strategy falls under one of Modulaire’s four strategic objectives. In addition, the company also focuses on an efficient cost base, sales optimization, granular management of performance at the branch level, and effective capital investment.

Mark Higson, Chief Executive Officer, Modulaire Group, has been quoted to state that high quality acquisitions are a major component of the company’s strategy, in tandem with its focus on operational performance and organic growth. This takeover will strengthen Modulaire Group's presence across Italy, building on its current position, he says, adding that he is delighted to welcome Tecnifor, Locabox and FAE into the Modulaire Group and looks forward to working with their expert, experienced management team.
